Music Teacher
Dr Widor du Toit's School of Music has been honing musical talents of young South Africans for the last 20 years. He has been the piano mentor, musical role model and friend of many talented musicians.
As pianist, Dr du Toit has performed many times at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival Fringe programme, including wonderful piano recitals consisting of masterpieces of the great classical composers Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Liszt.
His 1978 thesis concentrates on Liszt’s transcription of Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.
